Ben Phillips examines the Federal Budget 2016-17

This report provides a distributional analysis by income level and family type of the Federal 2016-17 Budget. The report models a range of budget measures that directly impact households such as changes to family payments, childcare, taxation, tobacco excise and superannuation. The modelling finds that the largest financial impacts fall upon lower income families with children while high income groups are, on average, less impacted.
